A progressive manufacturing & retail company based in Jeddah, KSA. The company produce quality pastries, sweets, ice cream & chocolates. We are looking for an Accountant.

Overview of the role

Responsible for providing financial advice and undertaking related accounts administration. Typical duties include reviewing financial reports, monitoring accounts, and preparing activity reports and financial forecasts

Key Responsibilities
Job Description:
• Ensure the accounting entries, transactions and the books of accounts are properly entered into the accounting software as per the accounting standards, principle and policies.
• Prepare the audited financial statements to submit to the management, stakeholders and regulatory bodies, and ensure all the accounting and financial transactions are examined as per the accounting standards, principles and policies.
• Construct the quarterly financial budgets and track the performance, and submit the performance report to the management
• Interpret the company sales, purchases, operating costs, revenue, expenses, etc. to understand the financial soundness of the company
• Monitor the company books of accounts from the accounting software and analyze the monthly sales, purchases, current assets, current liabilities, etc. for an effective financial management of the company.
• Preparing and evaluating the receivables and payables to manage the short-term working capital management.
• Coordinate and manage with the bankers to ensure the funds and loans are arranged as per the company requirements through Banks,
• Provide financial advice on future business plans; company operations; raising sources of finance from banks and debt markets; investments and tax to the management.
• Assist the management in filing the tax returns of the company and individuals on specified periods.
• Engage in the audit activities with the auditor and its team by providing him all the accounting and financial transactions and information along with the supporting documents, invoices and bills.
• Prepare the due diligence report of audit activities and submit it to the management for any frauds, disparity, inconsistency and other core information which may pose a threat to the company

• Review and check the company's accounts and financial information on a periodic basis to understand the accuracy of its data and complying with the management and statutory policies
• Finalization of Accounts, Financial Planning, Income tax matter
• Exposure in Opening Letter of credit, Bank Guarantee
• Preparation of MIS, Fund Planning
• Exposure in Handling Accounts, Statements & Documentation in Export & Import Areas
• Supervision of Accounts, Handling of Accounts, Taxation & Company Law Matter
• Fund Management, Preparing Projection of fund requirement for both projects& operations
• Reconciliation of Bank & Various Accounts, Preparation of Daily cash flow statement
• Conducting Statutory & Internal Audit at Own Supervision
• Liaoning with internal auditors in overall audit query.


Required Qualification & Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in handling various finance related activities and experienced in XERO Accounting Software.
• A Chartered Accountant + MBA
• Excellent communication skills and a great influencer
• Good personality and can present the organization dynamically
• Good knowledge of changes in financial regulations and legislation
• Good management of company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
• Good rapport with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory
• Good interpersonal skills
