Job Description of Electrical and Instrumentation Estimation Engineer
1. Study scope of work and tender documents and understand the exact requirement for the estimation.
2. Arrange, attend the job ex. Meeting and site visit and prepare the detailed report
3. Prepare clarification and send to client and attend clarification meeting if required.
4. Study the drawings, bulletins and clarifications. Prepare BOQ if required.
5. Coordinate with other department to get the required details for estimation.
6. Launch RFQ for materials, vendors and subcontractor to get quote. Make technical and commercial evaluation to select the materials.
7. Identify the activities and duration of work for the estimation.
8. Prepare the tender cost estimation such as direct man-hour calculation based on productivity, materials, consumables, equipment’s, non –manuals, temporary facilities, and other indirect costs.
9. Prepare detailed estimation and submit to management for approval.
10. Prepare priced BOQ and document required and submit to client.
11. Prepare and submit the clarifications required by the client.
12. Supporting other Mechanical leads in multiple jobs for E&I part
13. Handling Multidiscipline estimations like Mechanical works etc. will be an added advantage.
14. Shutdown experience will be an added advantage.
15. Ability to handle pressure and respond on multiple bid requirement.
16. Able to do analyses of previous awarded bids and consider same in estimations.
17. Good in handling vendors / OEM quotations in the bid

Qualification and Experience
1. Ability to lead the bids
2. The candidate must hold a Bachelor degree in Electrical / Instrumentation engineering.
3. The candidate should have 5-10 years of experience in plant maintenance E & I works in oil, gas, power, petrochemical and water industries.
4. The candidate must have 3-5 years of experience in estimation of Electrical, instrumentation and control system works
5. Must have site experience and can understand resource requirements.
6. Must have excellent Excel and presentation skills
7. The candidate with GCC/ Saudia experiences will be preferable.
