ROAD OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Job Purpose:

• The role of a Road Operations Coordinator will be to work on the day-to-day operation life cycle of road freight forwarding, coordinate with service providers and international agents to ensure seamless execution of freight forwarding shipments.
• The Road Operations Coordinator will need to maintain good relationships with service providers and customers by providing them with continuous updates and aligning with their schedules and timelines.
• The Road Operations Coordinator is responsible to adhere to designed SOPs, shipping instructions and requirements when handling operations at all times.
• The Road Operations Coordinator role requires a person with intricate attention to detail, good work ethics, problem solving skills and knowledge in freight forwarding operations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure preplanning of Road Freight operations to facilitate smooth operations.
• Review all shipment documents to ensure correct documentation flow and smooth operations fulfilment.
• Assure SOP and shipping requirements are met throughout the execution life cycle.
• Coordinate with origin offices/agents to execute the shipments.
• Update the system with shipments status to have latest and accurate track and trace data.
• Keep following up with service providers/origin offices/ agents to make sure shipments handled as agreed with clients and service providers.
• Report immediately any expected issues for our shipments and keep following up until shipment moved smoothly
• Maintain the shipment status reporting as per SOP and prepare necessary analytics.
• Adopt and apply new professional strategies and policies within the area of responsibility in accordance with management directions.
• Ensure transporters are maintaining professional behavior in terms of truck quality, drivers’ quality, PPE usage.
• Ensure service providers are received timely, verified and submitted to accounts department for payment as per agreed credit limit.

Qualifications:

• Technical Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• With experience in Logistics and Transport Activities

• Should have valid and transferrable IQAMA.
