GENERAL SUMMARY:
• Under supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent/ Assistant Golf Course Superintendent/ Golf Course manager, perform routine manual labour involved in golf course maintenance.

JOB DIMENSIONS
• Reports directly to Golf Course Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Policies & Procedures

• Works in alignment of company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Functional Operations
• Operates mechanical equipment such as mowers, weed trimmers and utility vehicles.
• Mows greens and tees with walk behind mowers, mows bunker and lake edges with hover mowers and line trimmers.
• Sets tee markers, maintains ball washers, removes debris and sands divots.
• Maintains a clean Golf Course environment through waste removal and debris and weed cleanup.
• Returns equipment to designated location at the maintenance facility as directed by the Mechanic, Golf Course Manager or Foreman properly cleaned and serviced.
• Must always operate equipment safely and be aware of other associates in his or her work area.
• Under the direction of the Golf Course Manager or Foreman, the Grounds Keeper moves cart control barriers and may mark hazards and drop areas.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Participates in other project related works such as removing and lay turf, install drainage, and other possible construction related tasks.
• Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
• May be asked to operate other equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
• Lifting of items is required as and when required up to 50kg
• Carrying items is required (e.g.: Turf, fertilizer bags, Back pack blowers etc)

Health, Safety, quality & Compliance

• Work in alignment with the companies health and safety plans to meet industry recognised standards and attends relevant training to ensure a safe place of work.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
• Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferably speaking or understanding basic English
