Job Overview:
The Electrical Switchgear Testing Technician is responsible for testing and maintaining electrical switchgear and circuit breakers to ensure proper operation and safety.
The technician will be responsible for performing electrical tests on switchgear, including insulation resistance tests, contact resistance tests, CT tests, VTs tests, and power factor tests.
He must have in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including electrical diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical tests on switchgear, including insulation resistance tests, contact resistance tests, and power factor tests
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems in switchgear and circuit breakers - Perform maintenance on switchgear and circuit breakers, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of worn or damaged parts
- Review electrical diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the proper testing procedures
- Complete necessary documentation and reports for each test performed
- Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience - 2+ years of experience in electrical switchgear testing and maintenance
