Foreman Carpentry (Interior Decorating)

A Carpenter Supervisor plans, assigns, monitors, reviews, and evaluates the work of Carpenters,
Senior Carpenters, and other employees engaged in skilled rough and finish carpentry in building,
repairing, and maintaining wooden, concrete, and steel structures and arƟcles, including concrete
forms, and erecƟng scaffolds; applies sound supervisory principles and techniques in building and
maintaining an effecƟve work force; and fulfills equal employment opportunity responsibiliƟes

WORK EXP. & REQUIREMENT:

 Minimum 15+ years of skilled / journey-level experience including 10 years in a supervisory
capacity.
 EsƟmates job requirements from plans and specificaƟons and/or field surveys, RequisiƟons
materials and equipment, Supervises, directs, and is responsible for the proper operaƟon of the
building interior installaƟons. When required, lays out and supervises the heavy and rough
carpentry work in the construcƟon, maintenance, and repair of shoring, bulkheads, scaffolds,
dock faciliƟes, construcƟon sheds, promenades, etc., and InstallaƟon of Door, Door locks & door
stoppers, gypsum board, Mirrors, Cabinets & wardrobes etc.,
 Supervises, directs, and inspects the work of carpenters relaƟng to the installaƟon and/or
replacement of flooring, doors, building hardware, trim, window frames, sashes, parƟƟons, etc.
on job sites and in the modular building. Ability to use all type of carpentry tools and
equipment/Machines.
 Minimal supervision aŌer review of operaƟonal effecƟveness with specific instrucƟons from the
Superintendent of SecƟon. Work assignments are received in the form of work orders,
someƟmes accompanied by prints, sketches or oral instrucƟons. Work is performed in
accordance with standard trade pracƟces. Keeps records and prepares reports.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

 High School / Diploma
 Associate or bachelor’s degree in a construcƟon-related field preferred.
 Good in English (Speak / Read / Write)
