Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, preparing financial reports, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Financial Data Entry:
• Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system, including invoices, accounts payable/receivable, and expense reports.

Accounts Receivable:
• Help in maintaining accurate records of outstanding balances and follow up on collections if required.

Journal Entries:
• Assist in preparing and posting journal entries to record financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.

Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

General Ledger Management:
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor budget variances and provide explanations.

Month-End and Year-End Close:
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial tasks.

Audit Support:
• Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits.
• Provide necessary documentation and explanations.

Tax Compliance:
• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.

Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
• Implement best practices to enhance financial processes.

Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments to gather financial information.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:
• Masters / Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience as an accountant in KSA market.
• Technical / Functional Competencies: Accounting Best Practices, Accounting Methods, Accounting Principles, Accounting Rules/ Guidelines, Accounting Systems, Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
