We, an EPC company in market for nearly 40 years, are seeking to engage with a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our business and take a lead role in the overall management of major HV Substation Project that will help company to achieve the execution goals/deadline along with cost effectiveness.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing the Project and Program Delivery Capability
• Leading respective projects managers through Tender, ECI (Early contractor involvement) and execution phases
• Managing personnel in accordance with Client policies, ensuring only personnel with appropriate skills and qualifications are employees / assigned to carry out required tasks
• Ensuring the ongoing performance management of the team providing ongoing leadership and support to the team
• Ensuring the delivery team's contribution towards financial targets aligns with business strategy as:
o Achieving Revenue and EBIT (Earnings before interest and taxes), budget targets through delivering profitable projects and / or portfolios
o Managing Labour and Fleet utilization to maximize cost recoveries
o Managing claims and debtors to minimize working capital requirements Ensuring delivery team meets or exceeds tendered gross margin and cash flow targets and regularly updating project cost information and forecasting
• Manage key stakeholders that may include client, internal leadership teams & delivery committees.
• Managing and supervising the delivery team
• Managing and motivating direct reports (e.g., Project Managers) and indirect reports to ensure projects within the portfolio are being delivered to the specified scope, time frame, allocated budget, and quality
• Ensuring adequate management of internal resources, sub-contractors, designers, and suppliers complying End-User processes and procedures
Reporting Line:
The Senior Project Manager will be reporting to Chief Operations officer (COO).
About you:

• Extensive experience managing engineering, procurement and construction teams
• Strong ability to drive and motivate sub-contractors and consultant to achieve program milestones
• Demonstrated commercial / financial acumen (knowledge/Judgement Making/Taking quick Decisions)
Job Requirements
• Must be an Electrical Engineer, graduated from a reputable university, with HV Substation Experience
• 12 – 17 years in a similar role with a construction company and with a strong Electrical mechanicalcivil works construction background,
• Full understanding and working knowledge of all aspects of the electrical substation construction process,
• Experience in Risk assessments and its major reflections on the project areas which include but not limited to, Contractual Liability, Defective Performance and Warranty obligations;
• Strong Commercial Management skills including the understanding of key commercial risks and the ability to lead project risk reviews and assessment processes throughout the duration of the project;
• Proficiency in Arabic & English, both oral and written.
• Strong communication, writing, and negotiation skills.
• Very strong capabilities in the claim management, especially the cost escalation and prolongation.
• Experience managing and implementing construction projects, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting the cost, scope, and resources, managing vendors, and overseeing the formal planning, tracking, and reporting of project performance.
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams.
• Experience developing and implementing tools to enhance monitoring, tracking, reporting, and forecasting of project and Sub-contractor performance.
• Experience interacting regularly with all levels of management, and presenting information and recommendations.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with Sub-contractors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, customers, other departments, and/or other parties as required.
• Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
• Must demonstrate effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
• Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
• Very Strong Reporting Capabilities
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
