Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Electrician to join our team in the waste management and industrial services sector. As a Senior Electrician, you will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting tasks on our fleet of vehicles and equipment. Your expertise in electrical systems and diagnostics will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our assets.

Responsibilities:

Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and equipment, including waste management trucks, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals.

Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential electrical problems proactively.

Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement effective maintenance plans and schedules.

Install, repair, and replace electrical components, wiring, and systems in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and other maintenance staff.

Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to electrical systems in vehicles and equipment.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during all electrical maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical training in electrical systems is preferred.

Extensive experience as an electrician, with a focus on electrical maintenance and repair in the waste management or industrial services sector.

Proficient knowledge of electrical systems and components in vehicles and industrial equipment.

Strong diagnostic skills and experience using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to vehicles and industrial equipment.

Ability to work independently and efficiently, with a focus on problem-solving and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
