Position Overview:

As a QC Welding Inspector for Steel Structural, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of welded components used in our steel structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding inspection, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform inspections on welded joints, ensuring compliance with industry codes, standards, and project specifications.
Conduct visual inspections of welds, ensuring they meet the required quality standards.
Utilize non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and dye penetrant testing to assess weld quality.
Interpret and evaluate welding procedures and specifications.
Collaborate with welding personnel to address and resolve quality-related issues.
Document and maintain comprehensive records of inspection activities and results.
Provide technical support and guidance to welding and fabrication teams.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Stay abreast of industry developments, codes, and standards related to welding and quality control.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Welding Inspector, with a focus on steel structural projects.
Certification as a Welding Inspector (AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1, or equivalent).
In-depth knowledge of welding processes, procedures, and codes (AWS D1.1, ASME, etc.).
Strong understanding of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with relevant software and tools for documentation and reporting.
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in welding engineering, materials science, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
