Our company is currently in search of a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor/Estimation Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing project costs, evaluating project requirements, and creating competitive and accurate bids for a variety of projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent analytical abilities, and a proven track record in cost management and estimation within the industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor/Estimation Engineer, your primary responsibility is to provide an accurate cost estimate for all MEP elements, which includes materials, labor, erection equipment, testing/commissioning man-hours, and direct and indirect resources. You are expected to prepare the estimate in accordance with the BOQ, project specifications, and standards.

Your role also includes designing and estimating the costs for complete MEP systems, such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, FF & FA. As part of your job, it is important to identify and communicate any potential risks or issues that may arise during the project.

As an MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor/Estimation Engineer, you must maintain a strong record of project risk evaluation, contractor dispute resolution, and cost variation analysis. You will be working as a member of the Construction team and will provide quantity surveying services to the Department throughout the project, from start-up until closeout. Your tasks will also involve quantity take-off of unit price pay items to determine the total contract price and payment to contractors.t price pay items to determine the total contract price and payment to contractors.

MAJOR ROLES:

Budget Management: Work closely with project managers to develop project budgets, monitor expenses, and track budget variances. Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose recommendations.

Cost Control: Continuously monitor and control project costs, identify discrepancies or deviations from the budget, and provide timely cost reports to the project team.

Invoicing: management of project-related revenue invoicing, including; coordination with the project and technical teams, then preparation, negotiation, submission, and monitoring of the invoice process.

Project Performance Analysis: Evaluate the financial performance of ongoing projects, identifying areas of concern and proposing corrective actions to ensure financial targets are met.

Change Order Management: Assess and manage any changes in project scope, specifications, or requirements, and determine their impact on project costs and timelines.

Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and opportunities related to the project's cost management and develop strategies to mitigate risks and exploit opportunities.

Variations and Claims: Assist in administering subcontractor claims and variations, ensuring they are properly documented, assessed, and resolved within the project's contractual framework.

Quality Control: Collaborate with project engineers to ensure that work is completed according to the required quality standards and specifications while staying within budget.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Strong understanding of MEP systems, HVAC design, heat load calculation, and duct sizing.
• Experience with Candy is preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Office

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/electrical engineering.
• MMUP certificate holder is preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
• 5-10 years experience in Tendering / Estimation and budgeting in the same field
• 2 -5 years experience in NEOM and RED SEA projects is preferred.
• 2 -5 years of site experience as MEP engineer.
