Job Description for Driver:

Position: Driver

Responsibilities:

Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers and/or goods to designated locations.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure a safe and efficient transportation experience.
Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting regular inspections and addressing any mechanical issues promptly.
Plan and follow efficient routes to optimize time and fuel usage.
Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety and comfort during the journey.
Load and unload goods as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, colleagues, and passengers as necessary.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally and courteously.
Report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage immediately to the appropriate authorities and supervisor.
Adhere to company policies and procedures related to transportation services.
Stay updated on traffic conditions and adjust routes accordingly to avoid delays.
Follow company guidelines for vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate with the maintenance department for timely service.
Ensure the vehicle is equipped with all necessary safety equipment and that it is in good working condition.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license for the appropriate vehicle class.
Clean driving record with no history of accidents or violations.
Proven experience as a driver, with a good knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
Ability to handle various types of vehicles, including cars, vans, or trucks, depending on the job requirements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps.
Time management skills and the ability to adhere to schedules.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to handling challenges.
High school diploma or equivalent.
