Hotel Mechanical Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hotel Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance team. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment within our hotel. Your primary goal will be to provide a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for our guests and staff.

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment, to identify any issues or potential problems.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical systems, such as lubricating parts, cleaning filters, and replacing worn-out components.
Respond promptly to guest requests for repairs and maintenance, ensuring efficient resolution of issues.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical system malfunctions, using appropriate tools and techniques.
Repair or replace defective mechanical parts, components, or systems as needed.
Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruption to guests and operations during maintenance and repair activities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment servicing.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Assist in maintaining an inventory of mechanical supplies and equipment, and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement.
Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or installations.
Conduct regular inspections of fire safety systems, emergency exits, and other mechanical devices, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mechanical systems and technologies.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and related equipment.
Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
