Main Duties and Responsibilities

Duties

Participate in development of Laboratory goals, policies and objectives

Develop and implement quality process improvements.

Identify non-confirming work and ensure work is halted and calibration certificate is withhold and the work is resumed after taking necessary corrective action.

Increase personnel awareness to quality by providing the necessary training for effective implementation of required ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

Review the purchased supplies inspection for incoming supplies and services.

Organize and execute internal quality audit programs.

Other tasks assigned by the Lab Manager as and when needed.

Responsibilities

Establish, implement, control, monitor and continually improve the ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system and ensure that the requirements of accreditation bodies are met.

Develop quality manual, quality procedures and all related quality documents and to be in compliance with quality policy and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

Identify discrepancies in QMS and processed and implement appropriate corrective and/or preventive action plans

Manage document control, corrective and preventive action documents, control of non-conforming, internal audit reports and all documents that are related to the working process.

Ensure timely and effective implementation of internal audit program.

Ensure appropriate response to quality issues and complaints and review corrective actions where appropriate.

Ensure corrective actions are implemented and monitored to confirm their effectiveness.

Analyse customer’s feedback and complains; and provide action for the resolution of all negative feedbacks/complains.

Ensure that procedures for estimation of measurement uncertainty for calibration methods are implemented.

Ensure that UUT are calibrated as per required standards and guidelines. Perform regular quality checks on the actual calibration process to examine if continuous compliance to requirements is implemented.

To be the laboratory key contact for any quality related inquires and concerns.

Initiates Management Review meetings. Prepare agenda and maintain minutes of management review meeting

Education Level

Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics/Mechanical

Skills and Abilities

Strong understanding of ISO / IEC 17025 quality systems requirements with prior experience in calibration.

Understanding of quality system requirements, auditing process and instrumentatio

PC literate.

Experience

Min Five years of related experience in ISO / IEC 17025 accredited calibration laboratory and min 2 years of experience as Calibration Engineer / Engineer.
