1. Supervise Yard Operations: You will be responsible for managing all activities within the yard, including but not limited to receiving, loading, unloading, sorting, storing, and dispatching goods or materials.

2. Team Management: As a Yard Supervisor, you will be leading a team of yard workers or laborers. It will be your duty to assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure that all team members are working safely and efficiently.

3. Inventory Management: You will monitor inventory levels regularly, keeping track of incoming and outgoing materials or goods. This includes maintaining accurate records, reporting any discrepancies, and coordinating with other departments to meet their requirements.

4. Equipment Maintenance: A Yard Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and repair of equipment used in yard operations. This involves identifying any issues, coordinating repairs, and ensuring that all equipment is in safe operating condition.

5. Safety Compliance: Safety should be a top priority in a yard environment. You will be expected to enforce and promote safety protocols, conduct regular safety training sessions, and identify and mitigate any potential hazards or risks.

6. Documentation and Reporting: One of your responsibilities will be to maintain accurate records and submit reports related to yard operations. This includes documenting daily activities, inventory levels, equipment usage, incidents, and any other necessary information.

7. Customer Service: A Yard Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining positive relationships with customers or clients. You will need to communicate effectively, understand their requirements, and coordinate yard operations accordingly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Prior experience as a Yard Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role is preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
- Good organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, protocols, and best practices in a yard environment.
- Proficiency in using computer software and systems for inventory management and reporting.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends, if needed.
