Project Management
Job Title : Site Civil Engineer
Reports to : Construction Manager
I. Main Accountabilities :
1. Oversee the site's day-to-day operations and coordinate work activities.
2. Ensure work is carried out according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
3. Assist in project planning and design, preparing construction documents, and reviewing project drawings and blueprints.
4. Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders on site-related matters

II. Level of responsibility :
1. Budget: Assist the Construction Manager in managing the construction budget for on-site activities.
2. Equipment: Responsible for the appropriate use, maintenance, and safekeeping of construction equipment on site.
3. Staff: Oversee and guide the Foremen and their teams on site.

IV. Detailed job description :
a. Subjects:
• Construction management, civil engineering, site supervision, project planning, quality control, safety regulations, and team management.


b. Management:
• Manage day-to-day site operations, including monitoring the work of Foremen and their teams.
• Ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with the project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Assist in planning and design, preparing construction documents, and reviewing project drawings and blueprints.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders on site-related matters.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with construction safety regulations.


c. Reporting:
• Prepare regular site progress reports to be submitted to the Construction Manager.
• Coordinate with the Construction Manager and the rest of the project management team on project updates, issues, and necessary adjustments.
• Alert the Construction Manager to any on-site issues and recommend potential solutions.
d. Special tasks:
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical inputs when needed.
• Collaborate with the Construction Manager in the continuous improvement of site operations.

VI. Job Holder Profile:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
2. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry, preferably in major construction projects.
3. Technical knowledge: Knowledge of construction methods, materials, quality control, and safety protocols.
4. Managerial skills: Good team management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
5. Other skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
6. Languages: Fluent in English. Any additional language is a plus.
