MEP Quantity Surveyor.

We are searching for a reliable MEP quantity surveyor to join our capable team of professionals. The quantity surveyor will be tasked with analyzing existing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, following the contracts, negotiating with various contractors, Payment Certifications, Variations, Claims, as well as building relationships with managers, consultant and contractors.
To be successful as a quantity surveyor, you should have a methodical approach and superb interpersonal skills. Outstanding quantity surveyors are not only great at analyzing costs and contracts, but they also know how to read people and tailor their negotiation strategies to ensure the best possible outcome.
MEP Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
• MEP services measurement support for pre-contract cost planning and post-contract estimating, BOQ production, tender services, contract preparation.
• Specialized in measurement of MEP systems, Mechanical, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Drainage, Electrical, Low Voltage, Vertical Transportation, etc.
• Undertaking measurement tasks to support cost analysis project work.
• Provide measurement support for risk and value management and cost control functions.
• Knowledge in initial review of projects, condition of contract, contract documents, specification, and design drawing.
• Prepare Minutes of Meeting, contract correspondence and contract amendments.
• Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets of offers received from the contractors, and follow up with the contracted works, including the payment applications.
• Interim payment application review and preparation of interim payment certificate.
• Evaluates and negotiates variations and change orders in liaison with the Contract Administrator, Contract & Commercial Manager and Consultant.
• Evaluates and negotiates final accounts settlements.
• Managing workload with minimal supervision.
• Support senior staff in commercial meetings.





MEP Quantity Surveyor Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering from recognized university.
• Must have previous experience of Principles of Measurement (International) (POMI), experience of CESMM standard method of measurement or similar preferred.
• Residential/ Commercial/ Infrastructure experience advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years of pre-or post-contract experience.
• Knowledge in the use of QS software PlanSwift or similar is preferred, otherwise good working use of AutoCAD.
• A proficient user of Microsoft Office Products (in particular Excel).
• Knowledge or experience in CCTV, SCADA, BMS estimation is advantageous.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Team worker.
• Additional experience or knowledge on Civil cost planning and estimating, BOQ production, tender services, contract preparation is advantageous.
• Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills.
