Description:
To ensure that the desalination plant runs with maximum performance, efficiently and effectively by coordinating all units operations activities.

Roles & Responsibilities.

1.Ensure implementation of effective and efficient policies and procedures relating to Desalination Plant.

2.Monitor daily performance of the plant and to ensure that all the parameters are within the specified limits.

3.Recommend/follow-up acid cleaning of Desalination Plant as and when required.

4.Carry out trouble shooting, in co-ordination with Operation staff in desalination.

5.Follow up all the daily maintenance activities and report the defects.

6.Coordinate with Shift Charge Engineer and Chief chemist to improve the efficiency by doing any changes in operational activity with Operations Manager approval.

7.Recommend/follow-up as and when required distillate stage sampling and to interpret the results, if there is doubts of tube leak.

8.Coordinate and follow up with Chief chemist the daily lab.analysis reports

9.Carry out detailed inspection of plant during annual maintenance and follow-up the annual maintenance . Reports to be submitted to the OM.

10.Initiating the necessary RCA of all problems related to desalination plant.

11.Initiating the necessary modifications related to desalination plant.

12.Ensure identification of root cause for the identified non conformances/ deviations and to implement corrective actions/Preventive actions.

13.Identification, documentation and control of hazards in assigned work area.

14.Ensure aspects identified are monitored and operational controls are followed.

15.Report deviations in Integrated Management System, identify root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions.

16.Ensure economical, safe and reliable operation beside the warranty defects.

17.Reporting of emergencies and incidents and near misses.

18.Effective resource utilisation.

19.Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational.
Desired: Bachelor of Engineering is a must.

Preferred:Post graduate in engineering with power plant engineering.

Minimum Experience: 8 years in Power/Desalination/RO plant.
