Work tasks :

The environmental manager should be stationed in the SIBS site office in NEOM and is responsible to manage and report the sustainability works on site. The environmental manager should take part in writing the Environmental & Social Management Plan together with the sustainability manager and is the person on site responsible to follow the plan and to help the management team to fulfill the sustainability targets for the project. The role is a mixture of strategy and practice with a focus on on-site practical work.



Responsibilities :


Responsible for coordinating and reporting environmental work on the build site including writing the Environmental & Social Management Plan together with the sustainability manger. The Environmental manager is responsible for the on-site the water and energy usage, environmental demands for materials not delivered from our Malaysian factory and waste handling etc. The responsibility for follow-up on social rights for migrant workers are a joint responsibility between the environmental manager and the health and safety manager



Authority :

Report to Swedish Group Environment manager
Make decisions and take responsibility within your area of expertise
Responsible for your work area’s part of the overall time table


Qualifications :


Formal 3rd level (university / college) qualification in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or an Environmental related subject.
Minimum of 5 years and preferable over 10 years relevant work history in the construction industry; and
Demonstrated experience in the active environmental management of construction projects of similar size and nature to the Works.
Highly proficient in spoken and written English
