Roles & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
• Ensure the Projects assigned are executed in a timely manner within the approved budget and schedule
• Ensure adequate and effective communication within and across the project team, internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure technical and execution risks are identified and managed
• Establish and maintain relationships with senior management, operations, maintenance, engineering, and Saudi Aramco personnel to achieve success
• Ensure progress status is transparent and accurately reported out on a periodic basis
This position is accountable for the following end results:
• Works with Engineering to develop scope, cost and schedule of Projects during the development phases. Prepares Project Execution Plans in support of the project approval process.
• Works jointly with Engineering and Transmission Service Provider coordinating the activities and studies to be developed to fulfill the specific project requirements on this regard in a timely and efficient manner.
• Reports to the Project Director as Project Manager on assigned projects during Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning phases of the project. Coordinate with company Engineers and Contractor Engineers & designers.
• Executes assigned work in accordance with the Project Execution Plan and applicable Project Procedures and Standards. Ensures that the work follows applicable HSE, Quality and financial standards and procedures at all times.
• Leads a team of direct and indirect reports to deliver projects safely according to the agreed scope, budget and schedule.
• Manages the Engineering Contractor during design and procurement phase.
• Manages Procurement activities by the Engineering Contractor and internal departments in accordance with the agreed scope of work of the project.
• Understands the technical content of E&I Engineering documents. Coordinates reviews of the documents and ensures compliance with the overall objectives of the project and needs of the business.
• Manages the interfaces between the various parties on the project including Engineering, Contractors, Vendors, Operations, HSE and Quality.
• Leads the planning and execution of the field work in conjunction with the Construction Management, Quality Management and HSE teams as well as Contractors and Vendors.
• Ensures that the contractors are progressing within the agreed manhour and cost budgets and in accordance with project schedule. Reports any deviations and applies agreed corrective actions where required.
• Provides input to the project controls team for cost and schedule reporting.
• Ensures that records are managed in the electronic filing system as required by the company procedures.
• Ensure that all scope changes are properly raised and recorded to cover manhours, costs and schedule impacts and coordinate on review of change order documents.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• Technical work experience in the Electrical and Instrumentation trade
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in related fields. With 5 years’ experience in Gulf country.
• He shall have experience on Aramco Projects as Project Manager
• Preferably work experience in Oil, Gas is a factor.
• Excellent communication skills both written & oral and presentation skills
• Excellent technical knowledge.
• He shall have a Saudi Aramco approval for Electrical and Instrumentation Manager with CBT test passed
• He shall be fully conversant with applicable Industry Standards and Specifications such as NEC, NFPA 70, IEC &; IEEE, ISA RP12.6, ISA RP12.2.02, ISA TR12., ANSI MC96.1, IEEE 518, IEEE 1100, IEC 60529, NEMA ICS 6, NEMA 250, NEMA VE 1, NEMA VE 2, and UL 94.
• He shall have knowledge of electrical installations including materials, methods, specifications, and hazardous location identification.
• He shall be able to inspect complete loop checking, wiring continuity and color coding, start up, and troubleshooting.
• He shall be able to evaluate Factory Acceptance Test and demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of international codes and standards related to packaged units’ instrumentation such as, Distributed Control System (DCS), Supervisory Control and
• Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems & Remote Terminal Unit.
