Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Engineer. As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all stages of the project life cycle, from planning to execution. Your primary objective will be to ensure the successful completion of projects within the specified timeline, scope, and budget while adhering to all necessary requirements. You will play a crucial role in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement project plans to ensure the successful completion of projects within specified timelines, scope, and budget.
- Create a master project schedule and execute project activities on a monthly and weekly basis.
- Coordinate and organize necessary materials, equipment, and manpower for each phase of the project.
2. Project Estimation and Proposal Development:
- Prepare Material Take Off (MTO), calculating material and manpower requirements, estimated duration, and cost for potential projects.
- Perform risk analysis and develop contingency plans.
- Create techno-commercial proposals for bidding.
3. Budget Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
- Track project expenses and ensure proper allocation of funds.
4. Change Management:
- Identify and evaluate changes to project scope, timelines, or requirements.
- Implement change management processes and ensure proper documentation of changes.
- Communicate changes to relevant stakeholders and manage their impact on the project.
5. Quality Assurance and Control:
- Implement and enforce quality control processes to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Implement corrective actions to address any quality issues.
6. Client Interaction and Coordination:
- Interact with clients and subcontractors to coordinate and plan project activities, ensuring client expectations are satisfied.
- Represent the company in meetings with clients.
- Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQs) and obtain quotations for subcontracted portions of the project.
7. Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and monitor project progress on-site, creating recovery plans for work behind schedule.
- Measure work progress and prepare weekly reports for submission to clients.
- Keep stakeholders and team members informed of project progress.
8. Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Effectively communicate project objectives, progress, and updates to stakeholders.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other external parties to ensure smooth project execution.
- Address stakeholder concerns and proactively manage expectations.
9. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Regularly assess and monitor project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement contingency plans to minimize the impact of risks on project outcomes.
10. Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team members.
- Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to ensure project success.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and action plans.
11. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the project team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management and engineering.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
