Description

Looking for a Sr. Project Engineer, with at least 10 – 15 Years of experience in steel construction, to supervise a construction project in Jeddah. The job duration / contract would be between 18-24 months and the engineer would be on the owner’s payroll to supervise and survey the contractors progress during this period. The job requires adequate experience in project management and coordination, as the job entails extensive coordination between the owner(s) and contractor(s), capable of ensuring project requirements are met and identifying potential mishaps before they occur. As well as having a solid understanding of local markets.
The required Candidate has to possess and exceed the following skills and requirements:
1. Coordinate between the Project owner(s) and Contractor(s) to ensure the correct delivery of project requirements.
2. Review all project sub-contractors’ submittals and get the necessary approvals from the owners.
3. Interact clearly, constructively and positively with all organizational departments to ensure projects are completed effectively and with minimal disruption to planned schedule.
4. Coordination and execution of all project requirements, ensuring all administrative, operational, IT, engineering, and logistics tasks are completed in a timely manner with quality results and within budget.
5. Support cost saving development initiatives and delivery process improvements.
6. Conduct onsite visits and coordinate with construction crew and operations personnel continuously.
7. Establish and manage relations with independent contractors, vendors and negotiates best possible rates for their products and services.
8. Conduct quality control for work performed by independent contractors.
9. Supervise and stimulate procurement activities as required ensuring on time delivery.
10. Develop and maintain relations with clients as required establishing correct interfaces and presenting professional image.
