Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) Engineer Job Description

Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) Engineers are responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining GIS systems for various clients, including power generation and distribution companies. They ensure that these systems are in compliance with international standards and regulations, and they provide technical support to clients and other team members on GIS-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and installation of GIS systems for various clients, including power generation and distribution companies
* Conduct testing and commissioning of GIS systems to ensure compliance with international standards and regulations
* Develop and implement maintenance and repair procedures for GIS systems
* Provide technical support to clients and other team members on GIS-related issues
* Manage projects from planning to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget
* Conduct training sessions for clients and team members on GIS-related topics
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction with the GIS systems

Key Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining GIS systems
* Strong knowledge of international standards and regulations related to GIS systems
* Proficient in the use of various GIS software tools, including ETAP, Doble, and Siemens
* Skilled in project management, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
* Excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to travel to client sites as needed
