We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist with strong knowledge of MS SQL to join our dynamic team. As an Application Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our Hospital Information System, with a focus on MS SQL databases. Your expertise in MS SQL will be critical in resolving issues related to data integrity, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for enterprise applications, with a particular focus on MS SQL databases.
2. Analyze and resolve issues related to data integrity, performance, and scalability within MS SQL databases.
3. Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement solutions for recurring issues and application enhancements.
4. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including backups, monitoring, and database optimization.
5. Create and maintain documentation for support processes, issue resolutions, and best practices.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of applications with MS SQL databases.
7. Conduct performance analysis and tuning of SQL queries and stored procedures.
8. Develop and execute SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and reporting purposes.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in MS SQL and application support.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in application support with a strong focus on MS SQL.
3. In-depth knowledge of MS SQL database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
4. Proficiency in SQL query optimization, stored procedures, and database indexing.
5. Familiarity with database management tools and monitoring systems, such as SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Profiler.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve application issues.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
9. Experience with other databases and programming languages is a plus.
10. Relevant certifications in MS SQL or application support are advantageous.
