Steel Structure Site Engineer



We are looking for a steel erection engineer to oversee and coordinate the installation of steel structures for various construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that the steel structures are erected according to the design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
As a steel erection engineer, you will:
•Review technical plans drawn by architects and engineers and provide feedback and suggestions
•Prepare cost estimates and budgets for the steel erection and ensure the availability of materials and equipment
•Authorize technical drawings and engineering plans and provide technical advice and guidance on steel erection •methods and practices
•Organize and supervise the steel erection work on site and manage the crew members
•Diagnose and troubleshoot any problems or issues that may arise during the steel erection
•Monitor and inspect the quality and safety of the steel structures
•Solve any problems or issues that may arise during the project
•Gather data, compile reports, and deliver presentations to relevant stakeholders




To be successful in this role, you should have:
•A degree in civil engineering, construction, or a related field
•A valid driver’s license
•At least 5 years of work experience as a steel site engineer or a similar role
•Sound knowledge of steel structures site coordination and erection
•Proficient in using computer-aided design software, such as AutoCAD
•Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work independently as well as in a team
•Ability to manage tasks as per priorities
•Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
