Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on power diesel generators, including engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, such as abnormal noises, vibration, leaks, and performance inefficiencies.
• Perform engine overhauls, including disassembly, inspection, reconditioning, and reassembly of engine components.
• Repair or replace mechanical components, such as pistons, valves, bearings, gaskets, filters, and belts.
• Perform alignments, adjustments, and calibrations on mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to plan and execute complex repairs and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
• Adhere to safety protocols and comply with relevant mechanical codes and regulations.

Requirements:

 High school diploma or equivalent.
 Technical diploma or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
 Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in the power generation or industrial sector.
 Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, pumps, valves, cooling systems, and exhaust systems.
 Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and manuals.
 Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
 Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical problems effectively.
 Familiarity with relevant safety codes and regulations, such as ASME and ANSI standards.
 Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on the project requirements.
 Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
