• Experience with wild/ feral animals
• Communication and leadership skills
• Three years of progressively responsible experience in operations management; including two
years of supervisory experience - Shelter Manangement

Job Description :

Monitoring the behavior of boarded animals
 Coordinating and overseeing operations for kennels that house dogs (and sometimes other
animals)
 Creating work schedules
 Training, and supervising other kennel workers
 Ensuring cages, runs, and the overall facility is cleaned on a regular basis
 Ensuring the animals are groomed, fed, exercised, and generally cared for
 Properly handle “animals” as required and appropriately restrain patients as directed.
 Provide care for pet housed/visiting the hospital. Report signs of illness, disease, injury or
 Report unusual activity to animal health technicians/veterinarians.
 Discharge animals based on the report of the veterinarians, and to decide if the animal need to
be Discharge to the wild or can be adopted
 Ensure that cages and patients are properly numbered and identified
 Patrol hospital grounds daily, picking up any trash and stool material. Empty trash
 Record information such as feeding schedules, appearance, behavior of patients that are
boarded, groomed or hospitalized.
 Exhibit a technical knowledge of products and medications sold, including dietary products.
 Perform other duties as assigned.
