Description

A leading Oil testing Laboratory in Eastern Region, KSA is currently in need of Laboratory Supervisor (Transformer Oil Chemistry / Lube Oil - Analysis).The candidate is expected to lead and oversee a variety of Transformer Oil / Lube Oil testing and inspection.


Responsibilities


Knowledge in Transformer Oil Chemistry/ Analyses as per International Standards
Knowledge in Lube Oil Chemistry/ Analyses as per International Standards
Knowledge of International Standards related to Transformer Oil Interpretations including IEC, IEEE, ASTM, etc.
Knowledge in Lubrication Oil Analysis and Interpretations
Develop, modify, verify, and validate test methods
Ensure effective implementation of ISO/IEC 17025 system
Ensure safe handling of all chemicals, raw materials, and products, and proper use of PPE during testing and chemical handling as defined procedures and test methods
Report test results as per the precision and bias detailed in ASTM, IEC test methods
Ensure quality checks, testing, and validation at all stages of the process according to defined guidelines, procedures, and work instructions
Ensure timely and organized upkeep of all testing and QC records & data
Ensure proper upkeep of all current test methods with periodic review to update current testing practices as per changes in test methods
Strictly adhere to HSE policies, rules, procedures, and work instructions
Test all samples as per requirements and achieve results that meet set standards

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or Master Degree in Chemistry
Minimum of 10 Years of experience working in an oil quality assurance and/or testing laboratory
Good supervision skills, Knowledge of Laboratory testing matters, Good negotiation skills
Responsible for managing an Oil Analysis Laboratory including Chemists, Sampling Technicians safely and
efficiently

Ability to propose and deploy reliability improvement technologies/solutions and innovative ideas
Knowledge of International Standard Methods, ASTM, APHA, IEC, ISO,etc.
