QA Engineer:

Main Tasks:

• Ensures that all Procedures, work instructions, forms and quality records are maintained and filed properly.
• Ensures that Qualification samples are taken and processed in a timely manner at the start of a new MOC.
• Monitors all calibration records and notifies appropriate personal when calibrations are due,
• Arranges external calibrations and testing
• Prepares internal audit check lists and supervises internal audits
• Monitors mill performance and prepares statistical process control studies at the direction of QA manager.
• Provides answers from statistical data for contract and inquiry review.
• Monitors plate and welding material suppliers for quality performance.
• Provides daily reports on production and quality.
• Provides weekly summaries on production and quality
• Chairs Quality Meetings in the absence of QA Manager.

Other Tasks:
• Assists other departments in preparation of procedures, work instructions an forms.
• Indoctrinates new employees in QA system.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:
• Must have experience (5Years) in LSAW pipe manufacturing and quality assurance.
• University or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Eng.
• Must have strong Computer skills and experience in analyzing data
• Must have knowledgeable in statistics and statistical process control,
• Fully familiar with ISO 9001 and or API Q1.
• Must be able to write procedures ( in English)
